El ogro

El ogro is an artist book by Javier Codesal, which includes five sentences. The phrases – by Marcel Broodthaers, Manuel Olveira, Meret Oppenheim, the prophet Jeremiah and Codesal himself – appear drawn and express a search, a need to know, an interrogation on the issues that concern and shake the artist, a purpose to get dirty to find, an archaeological gloating in the foundations of the ruins caused by a jolt; but they also illustrate a patient and curious look towards the deparar. The prelude to a convulsion of love, sexuality, violence and tenderness. The ambiguous poetic of the sexual relationship.
