El hombre que camina

The man who walks is possibly the most famous sculpture of the twentieth century, a universal emblem of the human being in which Giacometti worked incessantly during his last years. Franck Maubert traces the circumstances in which the sculpture was conceived and discovers that, beyond the meaning it claimed after the devastation of World War II, the work has transcended its time and dialogues with the most primitive manifestations of human civilization as with the men and women of today and tomorrow.
