Mark Whiteley’s intimate behind-the-scenes shots, glossy studio portraits, blood, sweat and tears moments, skateboards, motorcycles, shotguns, tattoos, flowers, umbrellas, weddings, streets, stages, hard looks, soft smiles, bedrooms, parking lots, rooftops, sidewalks, legends and unknowns all combine to chronicle the photographer’s vision of skateboarding, music and art. Featuring the likes of Mark Gonzales, Cat Power, Thomas Campbell, Jason Jessee, Twist, Chris Johanson, Ghostface, and Jamie Thomas, and shot everywhere from Alaska to Brazil to Japan to Ireland and home to California. Mark Whitely is editor-in-chief at SLAP skateboard magazine and has shown in galleries in San Francisco, Tokyo and Europe.
