Antoni Tàpies: Certeses Sentides / Antoni Tàpies: Profound Certainty

In 1991, Antoni Tàpies created a series of works that were brought together in an exhibition titled Profound Certainty. 28 years later the Fundació Antoni Tàpies has recovered the complete set of work. Seen in perspective, this material evokes an inflection point in Tàpies’ extensive career path. In this period, the artist felt that part of the history he had lived was repeating itself. In this interview given by Charles Guerra, Manuel Borja-Villel recalls the circumstances in which these nineteen works were created and shown.
