Alvar Aalto Library in Vyborg

The restoration of the Alvar Aalto Library in Vyborg was completed in 2013 and the work has received a number of international awards.\n\nThis book documents the final stages of the exceptionally well researched and considerate restoration and shows how this masterpiece of Functionalist architecture was returned to its original splendour.\n\nThe book continues from where the previous part ended. The viewpoint is that of the present, that is, the library as freshly restored, in its clean white surfaces, soft grey schist-clad entrance, and finished details of the doors and stairs.
