Richard Serra. Notebooks

This strikingly beautiful publication presents 5 facsimiles of Richard Serra´s notebooks housed in a cardboard box. The artist himself chose these five in representation of his library of notebooks. The books draw the attention to the practice of drawing that plays a central role in Serra´s oeuvre. This focus is also the topic of the first retrospective of Richard Serra´s drawings shown until the end of August at The Metropolitan Museum in New York, USA. Also on view until 21August is the exhibition Constantin Brancusi & Richard Serra at the Beyeler Foundation in Basel, Switzerland.

Esta cuidada publicación presenta 5 reproducciones de los cuadernos de notas de Richard Serra recogidas en una caja de cartón. El artista escogió estos cinco libros como una muestra de su colección de cuadernos de dibujos. La publicación se centra, de esta forma, en la práctica del dibujo, que juega un papel central en la obra de Serra. La primera retrospectiva de dibujos de Richard Serra se podrá visitar hasta finales de agosto en el Metropolitan Museum de Nueva York, EE UU, y se centra en este aspecto. La fundación Beyeler en Basilea, Suiza, acoge hasta el 21 de agosto la exposición Constantin Brancusi & Richard Serra.
