Musica y ratas

Una investigación sobre el comportamiento de las ratas al oír diferentes estilos musicales. Después de 10 días de audición, las ratas bebieron más agua con la Música Latina, aumentaron su agresividad con el Rock Duro, adelgazaron con el Canto Gregoriano y engordaron con las Isas Canarias.
Este estudio fue realizado por cuatro alumnas de 3º de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria (ESO) del colegio Marpe-Altavista, en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, con su profesor de Ciencias Naturales, José Luis Martín Barrasa y las fotografías del también profesor Marcos Múgica.

Premiado en el XVII Certamen Jóvenes Investigadores 2004, organizado por el Injuve y la Dirección General de Universidades, y en el X Premio de Investigación, organizado por el colegio San Viator de Madrid.

An investigation into the behaviour of rats upon hearing different musical styles. After ten days, the rats listening to Latin Music drank more water. Those listening to Rock Music became more aggressive and while those listening to Gregorian Chanting lost weight, those listening to Canarian Isas put on weight.
This study was carried out by four youths from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with their teacher, José Luis Martín Barrasa. It was awarded prizes at the XVII Young Investigators Contest in 2004, organised by Injuve and the General Headship of Universities, and at the Fifth Investigation Prize organised by San Viator College in Madrid.
