In Labyrinth, her fourth book, leading French photographer Dolores Marat continues to explore contemporary life through imagery that both provokes and disturbs. Her photographs have an extraordinarily dreamlike quality – as if we are drifting in and out of consciousness. They are moments as fleeting as the flicker of a TV screen – strangely disturbing and unsettling, drawing out our deepest sense of unease about contemporary urban life.

Dolores Marat lives and works in Paris. She has exhibited throughout the world, including a major one-person show at the Photographers Gallery, London. Her last book Edges, received considerable critical acclaim both in Europe and the States. Her prints are in major collections world-wide.
