In Borges’ personal collection, held by the foundation named after him, it can be seen that most books deal with topics of philosophy and religion, and it is through these authors that the keys to the life philosophy of this genius can be found to aim at happiness. The author of The Aleph has left us a wonderful collection, of which only a small number of copies will be seen on these pages, helping us discover the keys to that happiness. The readings of some philosophers and mystics have surely had a decisive influence on a body of work that offers us a path in the art of living. The works photographed in here are less than five percent of the books held by the foundation. However, there are thoughts to be found in them that might lead us to happiness. We can see books spanning from the eighteenth century to the twentieth century, with diverse editions in languages including English, Italian, German, and of course Spanish. This book also allows us to peruse many of the notes jotted down by that the Argentinian author while he read them, allowing us a view into his interest as peaked by certain passages.
