Carlo Valsecchi

(Brescia, Italy, 1965) Carlo Valsecchi's work has been exhibited in different museums, exhibitions and art centers in Italy and internationally, such as the Venice Biennial of Architecture (1992), the Italian Institute of Culture of New York (1999), the Guggenheim Foundation in Venice (2000), Galerie 213 (Paris, 2001), Studio Casoli (Milan, 2001), Le Bâti et le Vivant, Semaines Européennes de l’Image, (Luxembourg, 2002), the GAMeC (Bergamo, 2003), the Milan Triennial Exhibition of Decorative Arts and Modern Architecture (2006), Paris Photo (Paris, 2007), the exhibitions Past, Present, Future. Highlights from the UniCredit Group Collection at the Bank Austria Kunstforum (Vienna, 2009) and Lumen, a mid-career retrospective at the Musée of l'Elysée of Lausanne (2009); Galleria Carla Sozzani (Milan, 2009) and the Kellerkunst gallery (Zurich, 2009).In November 2011, his solo exhibition San Luis took place at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto (MART). Galleries of reference are Guido Costa Projects, in Turin; and Kellerkunst, in Zurich, among others. His more recent publication, Carlo Valsecchi - Lumen, Hatje Cantz, 2009, earned the German Photo Book Award (silver) in 2010.
