Santos is both performer and composer, the creator of theatrical and musical spectacles, and renowned photographer. A member of the Catalonian avant-garde, he has collaborated with poet Joan Brossa and film-maker Pere Portabella. During the 1970s, he was part of the Grup de Treball, Catalonia’s foremost conceptual art collective and resided in Paris and New York, where he mixed with members of the musical and artistic avant-garde. In the 1980s, Santos became known for his musical shows and performances. This book shows for the first time, in all its breadth and richness, the imaginative visual and acoustic universe of the baroque, ground-breaking and extraordinary artist.
