Truth or Consequences.Truth or Consequences, a small town in New Mexico, acquired its unusual name in 1950 in response to a call from a popular radio quiz show looking for somewhere to host its tenth anniversary broadcast and accompanying fiesta. Photographer-artist Nick Waplington, best known for his remarkable Living room series has been taking photographs in and around the town for eight years. His portrait of small-town America shows us the place behind the name, the lives of its people and the landscape they live in, while at the same time constructing a personal tribute to the greats of American photography.
