He currently lives and works in Mexico City. His work has been exhibited in numerous collective and individual exhibitions at international museums and galleries. The first book devoted entirely to his own workPablo López Luzwas published in 2012 (RM + Toluca Éditions).\n \nPablo López Luz photographs doors and doorways adorned with inverted pyramids, concentric rectangles, lines, and fragmented metal bars in the streets of Mexico City. By creating a visual directory of these ornaments, the artist reveals the local peoples taste for simple geometrical forms and reminiscences of pre-Hispanic designs, exploring how these patterns are inserted and brought up to date in a contemporary urban context.
