Havana
Well known for his photographs of architecture and interiors in The New Yorker magazine and other publications, he turns his camera on Cuba. In the capital, Havana, he photographed the decaying buildings, the often-quiets streets, and the proud and defiant people of this city, which seems lost in the 1950’s.\nBy using a large format camera he makes every detail of the surfaces and textures feel real on the printed page. Cuba in his photos seems so real. You can smell the streets and hear the sounds in these marvellous photographs.\n- Robert Stevens, Paris Photo
