Freeing Architecture
In his architectural works, which he compares to clouds, landscapes or forests, the Japanese architect Junya Ishigami eliminates the boundaries between exterior and interior space. He draws inspiration from nature, lending a dreamlike quality to his work. This book accompanies the architects exhibition at the Fondation Cartier pour lart contemporain, which reveals, on an unprecedented scale, his latest research into freedom, fluidity and the future of architecture. This is book traces the genesis of the project, and includes photographs, drawings, models, and all the poetry of the work of Ishigami.
