The title refers to Federiciâ’s eight and a half years in the United States, and pays homage to Fellini’s film 8 ½, and reflects her love of the Italian cinema of the 1950s More…and 60’s an influence that is evident in her earliest work. \nIn her early twenties, Federici encountered overnight success as a professional photographer: one of her first high-profile comissions was the famous Guess campaign starring Anna Nicole Smith.
