Con Calder

Daniel Lelong met Alexander Calder in 1961, when he worked with Aimé Maeght creating the museum that would become in the Marguerite and Aimé Maeght Foundation in Aix-en-Provence. It was the first artist with whom he had contact and his relationship with Calder last until the sculptor’s death in 1977. During these years, Lelong had the opportunity to know Alenxader Calder and to see how he worked in its various creative facets, the painter, sculptor and inventor.
