Everyday objects and things are mixed up with their names: all you need is to find them… \nBob Gill’s A to Z is a book to be glanced through in every direction, to find the balance in the apparent disorder and reconstruct images and words with the help of their colours: in fact, by recomposing each image you’ll discover its name at its side. \nOriginally published in 1962, Bob Gill’s A to Z is a book in which each page is divided in three parts, so that images and words are mixed up. By using images and their colours, children and adults can recognize them, let them appear through the pages and discover their name. \n\nBob Gill is a designer, an illustrator, a writer, a filmmaker, and a teacher. He was the Gill in the English design partnership, Fletcher/Forbes/Gill, which eventually became Pentagram, with offices all over except Antarctica. \nHe’s written a number of books about design and illustration, had one-man exhibitions in Europe, South America, and in America, was elected into the New York Art Directors’ Club Hall of Fame, and the Design and Art Directors’ Association of London presented him with its Lifetime Achievement Award. He’s also written many books for children. His last was “I Keep Changing” (with Alastair Reid). \nHe’s now living in New York, teaching, and working independently.
