Cristina Iglesias. La jalousie

A text from Alain Robbe-Grillet’s novel La jalousie (1957) serves as inspiration for Cristina Iglesias’s book, a piece of work specially conceived for the LiberArs series of Ivorypress’.

The Spanish artist has created different architectural sculptures over the years in form the of lattices, reinterpreting the characteristic grid of the confession of the Catholic churches or Muslim serrallos booths thus and creating distinct spaces.

This book, printed on transparency sheets, transforms Cristina Iglesias’s lattices into geometrical figures that superimpose suggesting a tangled web.
