WRITINGS BY MICHAL ROVNER SHORTLISTED FOR PHOTOESPAÑA 2020’S BEST PHOTOGRAPHY BOOKS OF THE YEAR AWARD

The book Writings by Michal Rovner has been shortlisted by PHotoESPAÑA 2020 for the Best Photography Book of the Year, in the National category. Writings will be exhibited as part of PHotoESPAÑA’s programme in a group exhibition at La Fábrica (Calle de la Alameda, 9, 28014 Madrid), along with the rest of the books shortlisted.

Comprised a series of accordion fold-out pages, this book transmits the dense textuality that defines Michal Rovner’s work on the printed page as well as her interest in the written word, time, and visual codes. As the latest installment of the LiberArs book series, a collection of small-format artists’ books, Rovner pushes beyond the limits of writing to consider the residue left by time on the written and the printed word.
