Saturday 2 April, 2011. John Gerrard’s exhibition at Ivorypress closed up. The works of this multi-disciplined artist combine new technologies, photography and poetic language, meanwhile reflecting upon political and social issues.

The closing of this exhibition featured an encounter with Agustín Pérez Rubio: ‘The aim of this meeting is to further explore the artistic evolution of the young Irish artist John Gerrard and to analyze his notions about body and sculpture’. The Founder and CEO of Ivorypress, Elena Ochoa Foster, hosted the event. The artist John Gerrard was also present.

About Ivorypress

Ivorypress was founded in 1996 by Elena Ochoa Foster as a publishing house specialising in artists' books. The project currently encompasses a wide range of areas and activities within the framework of contemporary art, including its own exhibition space and bookshop, art consultancy and art exhibitions curatorship, editorial services, audio-visual productions and education.
