Buckminster Fuller. Dymaxion Car
In 1933 and 1934 the visionary architect, designer, engineer and philosopher Buckminster Fuller (1895-1983) built three models of his Dymaxion Car, considered the most efficient car of its time due to its meticulous design based on the laws of aerodynamics. This book tells the story of the first three models of the Dymaxion Car and the production process for Dymaxion # 4, a new prototype based on the image and a faithful likeness to the original. This new prototype was created by architect Norman Foster and displayed for the first time at the Bucky and Spaceship Earth exhibition at Ivorypress, Madrid, Spain in 2010. The incredible adventure of the Dymaxion Car is used as a way of presenting Fuller’s persona and biography.
