“Rodrigo Moya’s work wasn’t well known until recent years. His premature retirement of photojournalism in 1967 and the lack of prominence of the author to position his work in agencies, museums, galleries and other artistic and commercial circuits contributed to reinforce this oblivion.
He only participated in three group exhibitions as photographer: ‘Lágrimas y risa de México’, coordinated by Malkah Ravel, with the advice of Antonio Rodriguez, in the Club Deportivo Israelita facilities and with the participation of Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Nacho Lopez, Antonio Reynoso, Hector Garcia and Bernice Kolko in November 1958, and two under the title ‘Primera y segunda exposiciones latinoamericanas de fotografía’, coordinated by Ruth Lechuga and the group La Ventana in the years 1959 and 1960, respectively, which were shown in the pergolas of the Alameda Central in Mexico City … “
