Many subway networks in all parts of the world are dotted with stations that are so visually striking that one may consider them as art galleries. A glowing red cave in Stockholm; a space drenched in dreamy coloured light in Munich; a station as lushly gorgeous as a palace in Moscow. Carefully selected from among such flowers of public art blending the best of architecture, art, and ornamentation, were 36 beautifully orchestrated underground spaces that function as subway stations around the world.
