This catalogue edited by Christophe Cherix (The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Chief Curator of Prints and Illustrated Books, MOMA) accompanies the exhibition, on view at the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art, New York, USA) until 14 May. The exhibition as well as the book examines the evolution of artistic practices related to the print medium, from the resurgence of traditional printmaking techniques – often used alongside digital technologies – to the proliferation of self-published artists’ projects. It is the third show in which the museum exhibits important documents from its collection of prints and artist´s books (previous: Printed Art, 1980, and Thinking Print, 1996). The publication centers on the last tendencies and includes works by Ai Weiwei, Martin Kippenberger, Thomas Schütte, SUPERFLEX and Rikit Tiravanija amongst many others.
