Nicolás Ortigosa

This volume includes various works by Nicolás Ortigosa, including his particular interpretation of Dante Alighieri’s La Divina Comedia, a series composed of 89 drawings and engravings of different techniques that capture the mental images generated by the reading of the Italian classic.
The varied formats and supports in which his drawings are shown reflect a more lyrical than illustrative character, and are more linked to abstract language than to figurative. The works, made between 2002 and 2018, reflect sixteen years of artistic career of this interesting artist. The volume, which is published on the occasion of the exhibition dedicated by the art center Pumps Gens to this author, includes other representative works of his, as a sample of his drawings and more current prints, of very different sizes and made between 2015 and 2018 .
