MY LAST WILL

m Künstlerbuch “My Last Will” antworten 32 internationale Künstler:innen auf die Frage “Was bleibt?”. Sie setzen sich mit ihrem Vermächtnis auseinander und versuchen den Kern dessen zu treffen, was ihr künstlerisches oder persönliches Interesse ausmacht. Dabei loten sie deren mutmaßliche Bedeutung für eine Zukunft aus, deren Wertmaßstäbe noch gänzlich unbekannt sind. In dieser Anthologie sind alle Text-, Collage- und Bildbeiträge der beteiligten Künstler:innen zusammengefaßt. Sie ist in japanischer Bindung ausgeführt, so daß die Leser:in die Seiten aufschneiden muß, um zu deren Inhalt zu gelangen. Das Künstlerbuch wurde konzipiert von M+M und erscheint im Rahmen der Ausstellung “Mein letzter Wille” / “My Last Will” in den Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz (2023) und im Casino Luxembourg (2024). ***** In the artist’s book “My Last Will”, 32 international artists respond to the question “What remains?” They deal with their legacy and try to get to the core of what constitutes their artistic or personal interest. In doing so, they sound out their presumed significance for a future whose standards of value are still entirely unknown. This anthology brings together all the text, collage and image contributions of the participating artists. It is in Japanese binding, so that the reader has to cut open the pages to get to their contents. The artist’s book was conceived by M+M and is published in the context of the exhibition “Mein letzter Wille” / “My Last Will” at the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz (2023) and at the Casino Luxembourg (2024).
