Julia Margaret Cameron
Fundación MAPFRE publishes a complete monographic catalog on the work of Julia Margaret Cameron that will become a reference work on the photographer in our language. Known for the intensity of her portraits, she had her family, servants, and friends pose as models, including the most important poets, writers, and artists of her time. Her photographs broke the established rules: they were deliberately out of focus and often included blemishes, scratches, blemishes and other traces of the creative process. The catalog includes the scientific essays by Marta Weiss and Juan Naranjo, accompanied by a documentary appendix that collects an essential part of the correspondence between Cameron and Henry Cole.
