This guide tries to draw the busiest itineraries in the art of the last twenty years. In each of the six chapters that form the central body of the book, the work of the artists closest to current events, the currents based on the archive and the document, the revitalization of performance under new protocols, the survival of minimalist vocabulary, post-production practices with objects and ready mades, and art operations based on the modern art tradition. As an epilogue on the art system today, the role of museums and galleries, fairs and biennials, the forces of globalization and local identity, as well as the role of the market or the exhibition curator, are analyzed.
