Arquitectura en México 1900-2010
This book deals with the plurality of architecture in Mexico in the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. According to French philosopher Michel Foucaults idea of effective history, in which knowledge, such as history, does not encompass absolute truths, but rather fragments, it offers a reading of the diverse issues at stake in architectural production. Consequently, it pursues comprehension beyond built forms and close to the ideas that gave rise to them. In an attempt to displace and reinvent paradigms, history is viewed as a place to work with an emphasis on its relation to architecture, theory, art, design, and urbanism.
