Acumular, clasificar, preservar, exhibir: Archivo Roberto Obregón

Obregón, forerunner of global conceptualism, focused for three decades on the relationship between nature and art through inexhaustible research and methodology of showing dissected rose petals, as a kind of contemporary vanitas. The publication summarizes the Roberto Obregón Archive, which encompasses the complete legacy of the artist. This book was produced on the occasion of the first individual exhibition of Obregón’s work in a North American institution and includes essays by the curators Jesús F uenmayor and Kaira M. Cabañas. The book makes an exhaustive record of all the works after years of work in the classification of the Obregón Archive by Israel Ortega and Leonor Solá. Since 2011, this archive has been part of the Carolina and Fernando Ese verri Collection.
