PRESENTATION: MASTABA BY ALBERTO CORAZÓN

On 2 July Ivorypress hosted the launch of Mastaba, an artist’s book created by designer Alberto Corazón. The event was attended by the artist along with Manolo Gordillo, master printer in graphic arts.

Mastaba comprises twenty numbered boxes with three prints in each of them, plus two artist’s proofs, two workshop proofs, and a H.C. This edition in screen printing, digital printing and embossing on Zerkall Artag 300 g paper, mounted on 6 mm cardboard, was developed during the spring of 2019 at Taller Manolo Gordillo Edición de arte, in collaboration with Raquel Hernández and Saskia Moro.

Alberto Corazón is one of the most internationally renowned Spanish designers. He has received the New York Art Directors Club Award, the British Design Award and the Design Council International Award. His career has been developed in the areas of graphic and industrial design.

Manolo Gordillo specialises in the edition of graphic work. He has managed his own workshop since 1993 and has edited works by artists Fernando Bellver, Ana Juan, Eduardo Arroyo or Pep Carrió, among others.
