Launch of “Crazy Job. Leading publishers in conversation with Juan Cruz Ruiz”
On June 4 at 7:30 p.m. Ivorypress launched A Crazy Job. Leading publishers in conversation with Juan Cruz Ruiz, the first book of the Ivorypress Essential Collection with the presence of the author, Juan Cruz, and editors Beatriz de Moura, Jorge Herralde and Elena Ochoa Foster.
In a friendly tone, journalist and writer Juan Cruz interviews some of the most important publishers of our time, reflecting the changes that the publishing world have taken in the recent years and the uncertain but stimulating future which it holds. The unstoppable growth of the digital world, the specialisation of publishing houses and the segmentation of the market, the importance of nonstop promotion, the perhaps inevitable symbiosis of the figures of literary agent, publisher, librarian and bookseller… These are some of the topics covered in this publication, published in a double edition in English and Spanish. The editors interviewed are: Riccardo Cavallero (Mondadori), Joaquín Díez-Canedo (Fondo de Cultura Económica), Inge Feltrinelli (Feltrinelli Editore), Antoine Gallimard (Editions Gallimard), Jorge Herralde (Editorial Anagrama), Sigrid Kraus (Salamadra), Michael Krüger (Hanser Verlag), Peter Mayer (Overlook Press), Beatriz de Moura (Tusquets Editors), Stephen Page (Faber and Faber), Robert Silvers (The New York Review of Books) and George Weidenfeld (Weidenfeld & Nicolson).
