PRESENTATION: ”TUÉTANO” BY JUAN DIEGO VALERA

Ivorypress invites you to the book launch of Tuétano, the new work by the photographer Juan Diego Valera, published in a limited edition of 24 unique copies, each featuring a 35-mm reel and a text by Joana Hurtado. The reels were shot between 2012 and 2016 but were never developed. The event will be attended by the author and the participation of the writer, curator and researcher Joana Hurtado; and the photographer Aleix Plademunt, co-founder of the publishing house Ca l’Isidret Edicions, together with Juan Diego Valera.
Juan Diego Valera (Córdoba, Argentina, 1976) graduated in Fine Arts in Córdoba, after which he moved to Barcelona in 2011, where he began to develop his creative career through photography.
Joana Hurtado Matheu is a freelance writer, curator and researcher specializing in the relationship between artistic practices, photography, and film. Hurtado is the author of the book’s text ‘Dar sin ver, which is part of the project.
Aleix Plademunt (Girona, 1980) graduated in photography from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, in 2003. Since then he has continued to work on personal photography projects. In 2011 he created the Ca l’Isidret Edicions publishing project, together with Roger Guaus and Juan Diego Valera, to publish his own works.
