Los Carpinteros at the stand of ‘El País’ in ARCOmadrid

Cuban artists Marco Antonio Castillo Valdés (Camagüey, Cuba, 1971) and Dagoberto Rodríguez Sánchez (Caibarién, Cuba, 1969), known as Los Carpinteros and represented in Spain by Ivorypress, were invited to create the El País stand at the international art fair ARCOmadrid 2011. The installation Sala de Juntas recreates the moment of an explosion that ocurred in an office building. The exploding pieces of the building, suspended in the air, were on show at the IFEMA fairgrounds in Madrid between 16 and 20 February 2011.
