Los Carpinteros at the Kunstmuseum Thun (Switzerland)

Los Carpinteros, the Cuban artistic duo represented by Ivorypress in Madrid, creates drawings and monumental installations that challenge the functionality and the use of objects of architecture, furniture and design. Critical, but also with humor, their work results in objects that are often related to political systems and cultural matters. Using deformations, wall fractures and excess, they change installations and sculptures into extravagant and inventive hybrids. The Kunstmuseum Thun showed the first institutional exhibition of this Cuban pair of artists in Switzerland, in collaboration with the Kunstverein Hannover.
