Book Night at 2014
Ivorypress Bookshop will be participating in Madrid’s Book Night on 23 April with a programme of cultural and artistic events. The evening will begin with the panel discussion entitled ‘Arquitectos, artistas, editores: sus libros’ (‘Architects, Artists and Editors: Their Books’), a space in which to reflect on the relationship between art and publishing, art books and architecture and artists’ books. For this debate, Ivorypress has invited the artists Cristina Iglesias and Aitor Ortiz, architect and artist Juan Navarro Baldeweg, writer and journalist Vicente Verdú and architect and Arquitectura Viva editor, Luis Fernández-Galiano. Elena Ochoa Foster, founder and CEO of Ivorypress, will also participate in the panel discussion.
The programme for Book Night at Ivorypress will continue with a guided tour of the exhibition Bazar by Cuban duo Los Carpinteros, led by the artists themselves. Bazar is their second show at the gallery, presenting a series of small and medium-sized works as well as three videos that show an important change in the line of work of these Cuban artists. After the guided tour, the Cañada Jazz Quartet will end the evening with a Latin jazz concert in the gallery’s space.
