In Movement: Art for Social Change

On 27 November 2012, at 7:30 p.m., the foundation In Movement: Art for Social Change presents an exhibition and silent auction of the work of four young Ugandan artists at La Casa Encendida, in Madrid. Ivorypress collaborates with and supports this project which introduces creativity and art into the education of Ugandan children and youths. The works on displays personify the crossing of paths and cultures that characterises African art, where many Western preconceptions, such as the difference between high and low culture, are revised to create a territory that is different and imaginative, full of nuance and subversion. The funds raised by this event will go in full toward the education of these youths.
