Bucky Fuller Conference Series

As part of the exhibition Bucky Fuller & Spaceship Earth, Ivorypress held a series of conferences to reflect on the life and work of the architect and designer Richard Buckminster Fuller, which were available for real time viewing on the Ivorypress website.

The first conference took place on 9 September 2009, and included the participation of Thomas Zung, architect and partner of Buckminster Fuller, Norman Foster and Luis Fernández-Galiano, curators of the exhibition Bucky Fuller Today: His Influence on Architecture, Contemporary Art and Science. The second conference was held on 11 September 2010 at 9:00 p.m., coinciding with Madrid’s Noche en Blanco (a Europe-wide cultural event). This conference focused on the influence of Fuller’s ideas on a new generation of architects, and participants included Benedetta Tagliabue, Juan Herreros and Alejandro Zaera Polo. Luis Fernández-Galiano was the moderator of this event.
