Mariana Cook (New York, USA, 1955) lives and works in New York. She is a fine art photographer whose work is held in numerous private and museum collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art, New York City; the J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Bodleian Library, Oxford; National Portrait Gallery, London; Bibliothèque Nationale and Musée d’Art Moderne, Paris; and the National Gallery, Washington, DC, among others.
She continues to work with black-and-white film and make gelatin silver prints. She is the last protégé of the American landscape photographer Ansel Adams.
