Apertura 2013

From 19 to 22 September, Arte_Madrid (Madrid Art Galleries Association) will organise APERTURA 2013, the joint opening of the new art season at Madrid’s major galleries.

Since it was first held, this annual event has gone on to become a key date in the agenda of art lovers and art world players alike. This fourth edition includes a wide-ranging program with walking tours around the city neighbourhoods where most of the main galleries are concentrated, as well as guided tours to the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo.

In this way, APERTURA sought to consolidate itself as a key event in Madrid’s artistic agenda. As in previous years, the programme also includes a number of activities in art galleries that gathered a large following. APERTURA is an absolute must-visit and a wonderful occasion to bring collectors, artists and other professionals of the art world in contact with the general public. It enlivens and injects energy into the local cultural scene and the contemporary art market.
