EMPTY Art Galleries NYC

Empty Art Galleries NYC is a collection of photographs from contemporary art galleries located in New York. All the images were extracted from the webs of the galleries and have been digitally retouched to eliminate any trace of the works of art exhibited. The result is an archive of apparently empty architectural spaces, organized by photographic typologies: flat walls, corners, columns, doors on the right, etc. The project makes visible a global prototype of exhibition display prominent in the current art market.
