Signed. As new. Anyone who uses Britain’s highways and thoroughfares is only too aware of the ubiquity of roadworks. They are a feature of every town and city, a bane of modern life. But despite the inconvenience they cause, it’s as if we don’t see them; they are so familiar, they are almost invisible.
In a three-part series, photographer Stephen Gill documents the chaos and noise that accompany roadworks and captures the city being built, and rebuilt, around us every day.
