“Lines of Non Freedom: Imaginary of an artist”, is born within the framework of sensibility towards humanity which appeals to many of the artists whom I have known and who serve today as the personification of critical thinking in this project of multidisciplinary investigation. Within this context, the objective pursued is to analyze the potential of the artistic-spiritual testimony of those creative spirits to enlighten and mobilize commitment to change in moments of historical urgency. A constructive capacity of humanism which terminates imposing itself upon the chronically antiquated and anachronistic nature of art history; otherwise, the capability of our collectivenmemory linked together at the mercy of its own instrumentation and normalization by the Governments.nThe investigation establishes its point of departure in the imaginary of 1968; the Biafra war and the extension of the student movements in Latin America, intensifying its focus of study in the events of the decade of the ‘70’s. A nperiod in which active dictatorial regimens existed both in Europe as well as Latin America and where liberty of expression and the welfare state continued to be an illusion. A period which, given its convulsive setting, encouraged a series of reflections, tensions and visual resonances which would endure over time and would expand over distinct territories. As a result, it is interesting to compare cultural settings and aesthetic iconography such as those developed in Spain, Chile and Mexico.nThus, from this desire to achieve personal rigor in the collection of data, a kind of cultural utopia, it is my hope to converge the lines of white and black of the motionless file, to meet the vibrant color of the creative constel
