The volume intends to shed light on the intricate world of Carlo Mollino, retracing his still little known production in the architectural field. Best known as a photographer, and most famous for his passions – skiing, acrobatic aviation, motoring and even scenography, occultism, literature, eroticism and photography – Mollino is first of all a architect. Trained as such, Mollino inherited the trade from his father Eugenio, practicing this profession with dedication and hard work for forty-five years: his work is impressive in quantity and quality, although in the face of the many projects he dismissed, he gained little more than about twenty buildings built. The author, in offering a personal tribute to the creative and restless genius of Mollino, gives the readers a vivid and detailed portrait of this pioneering archistar, so known abroad and still partly to be deciphered in Italy.
