Launch of C Photo “Posed/Unposed”

On 23 January at 19:00 pm the latest volume of the C Photo Collection entitled Posed/Unposed was officially presented at Ivorypress. Speakers included Dr. Tobia Bezzola; Kunsthaus Zurich curator and guest editor of the edition, Elena Ochoa Foster, CEO and founder of Ivorypress; and Iñaki Domingo, Ivorypress publications coordinator and co-editor of C Photo Posed/Unposed outlines the field of tension between the entirely spontaneous and unposed on one hand, and the striving for a perfect pose on the other, depicting a variety of approaches from photojournalism or amateur snapshots to advertising, portraiture and fashion photography.

The selection of 13 portfolios is meant to delineate these two poles in which photography has dwelt for the last 100 years, fueling a creative motor that keeps the medium alive and fresh to this day. The photographers published in this volume are Rico Scagliola and Michael Meier, Jacques Henri Lartigue, Thomas Struth, Pawel Juszczuk, Federico Patellani, Edward Quinn, Hester Scheurwater, Garry Winogrand, Guy Bourdin, Jules Spinatsch, Ghislain Dussart, Slim Aarons.
