Giacomo Costa (Florence, Italy, 1970) 'In my pictures nothing is photographic but everything is photorealistic. I don’t start from a real city or from a draft; the subject is in my mind and I use the blank screen as a canvas on which I start placing buildings and all other details. Everything is drawn in 3D, it is like a painting in photographic quality. My cities are metaphors for the human condition, and the P.O.V. series is a flight around a metaphysical object, an empty box that the viewer has to fill with his own point of view'.
